Summer Wreaths in Watercolour
Join me this August for a peaceful morning painting floral summer wreaths in watercolour! During this 2.5 hour workshop, we’ll be capturing the vibrance of summer botanicals by creating our own seasonal watercolour wreath in a loose and expressive style. I’ll guide you every step of the way through demos, hands-on practice and finally, painting your own beautiful wreath. Max 6 guests, so make sure to secure your spot! This workshop will be led in English. What you’ll learn: Practicing botanical shapes - I’ll show you how to get the most out of your brush, from feather light details to juicy washes of colour. You’ll practice painting different flora such as delicate leaves, flower buds and petals in bloom. Colour palette - Learn how to create a beautiful and harmonious summer colour palette and experiment with shimmering metallic watercolours for delicate gold details! Composition, depth and harmony - Explore how to layer botanical elements to create flow and depth using techniques like wet on wet and glazing. I’ll show you how I structure and layer different botanical shapes to create flow and visual harmony. Painting your wreath - With new skills and confidence, you'll paint your own beautiful summer wreath! I'll be there to support you and there will be lots of visual inspiration to guide you. What’s included: All materials are included, plus tea and snacks for us to enjoy while we settle into the flow of watercolour painting. Intuitive Watercolour Doodling
Join me in my cosy art studio in Østerbro on 31 August, for a peaceful evening of intuitive watercolour doodling. What does intuitive watercolour doodling mean? I see it as a practice that involves painting with no defined end goal, leaving room for our own intuitive spontaneity to flourish. Not only is this beneficial for connecting with our creativity, the meditative act of repeating abstract patterns and the immersive flow of wet on wet techniques can also help soothe and calm our nervous systems. Max 6 spots. This workshop will be led in English. The workshop: During this 2.5 hour workshop, we will be experimenting with repetitive painted line work, doodling images found in abstract watercolour blobs and using materials like salt and cling film on damp paint to create beautiful, organic textures. This is an invitation to take a calm pause before the busyness of September rolls in. And an invitation to experience creativity in a context that isn’t about performance, end goals or pushing ourselves, but instead about being present and curious.
